Le stage pour les jeunes skialpinistes a fini ce matin par une competition des individuels de 400m de denivele. La 1ere place chez les juniors se jouent tres serree. Le tcheque Radoslav Groh est parti trop vite en tete et progressivement dans la deusieme partie de montee s´est fait double par l´Italian (cadet!) Robert Antonioli, et l´Autrichien Klemens Lackner. Finalement il se ratrape dans la descente et gagne sa categorie. Le vianquer scratch est le jeune italien :). Chez les filles junior aucun competition, seulement deux jeunes slovaque se sont presentees. Chez les cadetes la situation est plus interessante et les premieres places sont tres serees. La soeur de Radoslav, Karolina, dans la peau d´une favorite n´a pas eu son jour, et laisse la medaille d'or pour l´Allemande Barbara Abler. Cette course a ete egalement ouverte au jeunes de moins de 16 ans,3 garcon et une fille se sont presentes.

Dear friends in skimountaineering!

We are happy to announce - for the 2nd year - a program for our young athletes in competition- ski mountaineering: the International Skimountaineering Youth Camp in Praxmar/Tyrol/Austria on 8./9.12.2007.

Following a idea from Katarina Belikova and Zuzka Rychlikova (SVK) and Stefan Winter (GER) the Austrian Skimountaineering Organization For Competitions ASKIMO provides a platform for communication and learning for middle-european skimountaineering countries. On two days young athletes and accompaning people will be able to practice race behavior - just before the beginning season!

Wenn eine Sport- Veranstaltung in internationalen Rahmen abgehalten wird, rechnet man gewöhnlich mit Anlaufschwierigkeiten. Nicht so beim 1. Internationalen Jugendcamp für Tourenschirennen am 16. und 17.12.06 im Praxmar/Tirol.
Mit einer beispielhaften Zusammenarbeit von Österreichern, Deutschen, Italienern und Slowaken wurde der unerwartet große Ansturm von Jungathleten bewältigt und der Grundstein für viele junge Tourengeher zwischen 12 und 20 Jahren geschaffen, um im stetig wachsenden internationalen Renngeschehen Fuß zu fassen.

"We have to repeat it!". That was the general feeling after the closing ceremony of the first International Ski Mountaineering Race in Praxmar. Organizers, team leaders and the almost 50 racers left Praxmar with a great souvenir. The main goals of the event (sport, competition, learn, fun and friends) were completely fulfilled.

Der Tourenschisport wächst und wächst. Ob nun wegen der Pistenverdrossenheit vieler Schisportler oder wegen der Faszination der freien Natur: das Tourengehen – oder fachlich richtig „Schibergsteigen“ – wird national und international eine zunehmend professionelle Sportart. Alleine in Österreich gibt es bis zu 600.000 Fans dieser Sportart!

ISMYR-Praxmar

Responding to the problem of the lack of young athletes in our sport, a developing program designed together by ASKIMO, DAV, SSA and www.skimountaineering.org will bring help and create the winners of the future races.

The 2-days program is open to all young people between 12 and 18 years with some experience on skimountaineering and a mature level on downhill skiing. Teaching and racing will be combined in this week-end, thanks to the volunteer help of experienced racers and the support of our sponsors (ABS, COLLTEX, DYNAFIT, PIEPS, SILVRETTA).
