Aleix Pubill: El mismo día de la carrera no pero el objetivo era hacer todo lo posible, para eso te entrenas durante todo el año. Esperaba estar entre los cinco primeros, no venia a hacer el décimo pero como el podio esta en diez segundos, depende también de los otros.

Una gara singolare, dove devi dare tutto fino alla fine, non avendo riferimenti e non sapendo come hanno corso gli altri. Oggi è arrivato un altro risultato, ed è sempre una grande soddisfazione, domani disputerò anche la gara a coppie con il mio compagno di squadra Stephane Brosse, e vedremo come andrà, speriamo ci sia la possibilità di un altro podio. “

The Jury published the final results of the Vertical Race World Championships that took place today form 9:00 am on. Fog on the lower part but sunny day on the top made from this event a great spectacle.

All is ready for the Vertical Race of tomorrow in Crisolo.
205 racers in 8 different categories will start in intervals of 30 seconds between 9:00 and 10:42.

600m uphill for the Kadets and Juniors and 1000m for Espoirs and Seniors.

Tomorrow morning at 9.30 a.m. the Ski-Mountaineering World Championship will start at Crissolo (Cuneo - Italy).

The first scheduled race is the Vertical Race, a really spectacular competition made up of only uphills, with about a total ascent of 1.000 meters for Senior and Espoir, whereas Junior and Cadets will face a total ascent of about 600 m.

This edition, the third, of the ski-mountaineering World Championships will certainly not have problems of snow!
Over the last few hours, the peaks of Monviso and Mondolè have been covered by a blanket of snow that will guarantee perfect racing conditions for the four races scheduled from 28 February to 4 March in the province of Cuneo.

Il y a un mois, nous avons publié des doutes sur la participation de l’équipe nationale slovaque au Championnat du Monde à Cuneo.

Aujourd’hui, nous connaissons la réponse et nous savons que les Slovaques ne vont pas manquer à Cuneo. Or, la situation est loin d’être idyllique. Tous les membres de l’équipe nationale qui ont ouvertement soutenu l’Association Slovaque de Ski de Montagne (SSA) ont été obligés gratter la porte de la fédération de montagne JAMES. Elle se laisse bien prier et licite les licences internationales, ce qui est particulièrement désagréable pour les athlètes. Certains (par exemple Miro Leitner) ne sont pas surs d’obtenir leurs licences à cause de leur soutien à la nouvelle association. D’autres sont tellement déçus de la situation qu’annoncent leur retrait du circuit (M. Madaj) après Cuneo.

La FFME a selectionné les coureurs qui vont assister aux Championnats du Monde de Cuneo. La denière qualification a eu lieu le 11 fevrier lors de la Montée Sèche de Chamrousse (Chamrousse Express).

Over the last few days, the snow has covered again the mountains of Cuneo, in Italy, where the ski-mountaineering world championships will be held from 27 February to 4 March, and therefore the peaks around Crissolo and Artesina offer a really impressive view.

L’équipe slovaque de ski de montagne risque de ne pas être présente aux Championnats du Monde à Cuneo (Italie) en février prochain. La position méprisante et manque d’intérêt pour le développement de ski de montagne de la part des dirigeants de JAMES (la fédération slovaque d’alpinisme) ont amené la communauté slovaque de ski de montagne à créer une nouvelle association indépendante (Slovak Skimountaineeing Associaton – SSA) sous un accord silencieux du gouvernement.
